Fortnite Rise of Midas event: Dates, rewards & Floor is Lava LTM

Midas is back in Fortnite with yet another event called Rise of Midas, so here’s everything you need to know about his return in Chapter 5 Season 2.

Despite being an integral part of the Fortnite lore, Midas has been missing from the island for quite some time now, after potentially escaping the loop in Chapter 2 Season 2.

However, the fabled leader of SHADOW and GHOST has returned in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 with a new event that will be active for around two weeks.

Here’s everything that you need to know about the Fortnite Rise of Midas event.

Fortnite Rise of Midas event dates

Fortnite’s Rise of Midas event started on March 19, 2024, and will end on April 2, 2024, at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT / 1 PM GMT, as revealed in the official Fortnite blog post.

Over these two weeks, you will receive a few quests that you will need to complete by the time the event ends. The quests are being split into five phases and the phases along with when they go live are as follows:

Fortnite Rise of Midas event rewards

These are the three rewards that you can earn from the Fortnite Rise of Midas event.

  • Cerberus Medallion Spray: Complete six quests.
  • Rose of Avarice Back Bling: Complete 12 quests.
  • Queen in Gold Glider: Complete 18 quests.

You can earn these rewards by completing the event-specific quests.
  • Midas Rises: available March 19.
  • Et Tu, Brutus?: available March 20 at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT / 1 PM GMT.
  • Jules vs. the Golden Touch: available March 25 at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT / 1 PM GMT.
  • Myths of Midas: available March 27 at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT / 1 PM GMT.
  • The Great Marigold Yacht Heist: available March 28 at 9 AM ET / 6 AM PT / 1 PM GMT.

Fortnite Midas Presents: Floor is Lava LTM explained

The Floor is Lava LTM is also live in Fortnite and will be available until the Rise of Midas event concludes on April 2, 2024. This LTM can be found under the “By Epic” section on your lobby screen.

In this LTM, you will have to stick to the buildings while battling it out with other players on the map. You won’t be able to step on the ground because it’ll be covered with lava, which will rise as the game progresses.

You will be able to enjoy this mode along with your friends and earn some free rewards too. This mode will have some special quests associated with it too.

Midas Presents: Floor is Lava LTM rewards

There are three rewards that you will be able to earn by playing the Floor is Lava LTM in Fortnite.

  • Lightning King Spray
  • Zeus Medallion Spray
  • Gilded Vengeance Pickaxe

These rewards will be up for grabs until April 2, 2024, so make sure you pick them up as quickly as you can.

Apart from these new quests and rewards, there are special items that you will find on the island. You will come across Golden Chickens that lay golden eggs and you can grab them to get Gold Bars.

Midas-themed Vending Machines will provide new services, and a Golden Weapon Upgrade will let you take any gun to the Legendary rarity for 500 Gold Bars.
