Elon Musk could quit Diablo 4 for Destiny over “hopelessly bad” class balancing

Elon Musk has been an avid fan of Diablo 4, but the tech mogul could make his way to Destiny 2 as Season 3 faces severe class balancing issues.

After a strong second season, Diablo 4‘s Season 3 found itself stuck between a rock and a hard place. Despite a lot of tweaks and reworks, players feel that the current season does have some glaring issues.

The Diablo 4 Season 3 patch nerfed pet builds for the Necromancer and the Druid. The Seneschal Companion, however, which happens to be the seasonal pet for all classes, can obliterate endgame bosses with a single hit.

Players also believe that the Barbarian is the best class in Diablo 4 Season of the Construct after several buffs have made the class overpowered. While responding to a build crafting video on X (formerly Twitter), Elon Musk responded to the issues by claiming he would try Destiny 2.

“Seems pointless to have other classes if only one is at all competitive,” said the tech mogul. “Might try Destiny 2.”

Elon Musk has been an avid follower of the Diablo franchise for a while now, and he’s talked about a few changes that would improve the game in the past.

Responding to a different comment, he also said, “I’ve stopped playing for now. Can do all the dungeons, but clear time for all other classes is hopelessly bad compared to Barb. Will consider again when a class balance is done for the leaderboards.”

While there were players asking him not to join Bungie’s looter shooter, there were others who encouraged him to try the game. One player said, “Very good time to get into Destiny 2. Everything is very slow right now and there’s a lull in new content. Plenty of time to catch up before The Final Shape is released.”

Others urged him to try out different games like Red Dead Redemption and Baldur’s Gate 3. It’s currently unclear if he’s made his way to the Last City and the Tower yet.

That aside, with feedback about the current season pouring in from all directions, it will be interesting to see if Blizzard introduces some class balancing changes in a future update.
