Diablo 4’s devs have announced upcoming changes for Helltides in the Campfire Chat on November 30, and players are extremely happy with the new changes.

Diablo 4 Season 2 is in full swing as the devs have announced the new Abattoir of Zir and Midwinter Blight events in the game. With a lot of new content added in Season of Blood already, players haev been extremely happy with how this season is going.

On November 30, 2023, Blizzard hosted another Campfire Chat to address the new events and several QoL changes scheduled for next year. However, one major change that was well taken by fans was making the Helltide available every hour.

In the Campfire Chat, the devs clarified that they “learned a lot” from the Blood Harvest, and tried to implement similar measures for Helltides. So from Season 3, Helltides will be up every hour for 55 minutes with five-minute breaks in between.

Reddit user ‘GDeezy0115’ started this conversation in the community about the changes as they were happy with the change, and claimed that the devs were “actually listening” to their complaints. Now that the Helltides will not be time-gated anymore and will be up every hour from next year, it would be beneficial for harvesting several collectibles.

Many others felt this would be a “great change” in Diablo 4 and hoped for equal enemy densities like Blood Harvests. Most players considered this “good news” as this was one of the most requested changes since the beginning of Season 2. The OP said this was the “best change [the devs] could’ve made.”

The devs have also confirmed that Season 2 will end on January 23, 2024. So the players can expect Season 3 to start and the new Helltide changes to be implemented on the same day.

Blizzard have also announced that official notes for Patch 1.2.3 will be dropping on December 2 with the new Abattoir of Zir event in the Campfire Chat, and fans would be looking forward to taking part in it as the newest endgame activity.
