Diablo 4’s long-anticipated Season 3 is here, and Blizzard have released the official patch notes that have all the details about class balances and QoL changes in Season of the Construct.

D4 Players have not shied away from sharing what they think the game needs and the devs have included several new changes to do justice to all the community feedback from the past season.

Here’s everything you have to know about the QoL changes in Diablo 4 Season 3.

All QoL changes coming in Diablo 4 Season 3

Season 3 of Diablo 4 has come with a variety of changes that aim to improve the player experience, including enhanced movement and skill tree updates. Here are all the QoL additions in Season of the Construct:

Enduring Helltides

Helltides are always active in Season 3, except for a five-minute break in between. This aims to give players more chances to collect the Cinders and rewards that spawn.

WASD movement

PC users are finally able to explore Sanctuary by using the WASD keys. This is a long-awaited feature that fans have been asking for, and many have responded positively to the addition of the change.

You can still use your mouse to click where you go if you prefer, but this option will come in for players who want to use their keys instead.

Extra Stash tab

Diablo 4 players have spoken out many times about the inventory issues that have been hindering their game experience, and Blizzard have tried to negate that by including an extra stash tab in Season 3.

Other QoL changes

Here are all the other miscellaneous QoL changes in Diablo 4 Season 3 as mentioned in the official patch notes:

  • Bonuses from keywords, such as Berserking, now also denote whether any associated damage bonus is additive or multiplicative.
  • Event Timers are now displayed on the world map.
  • The visual effect of being Chilled will now visually increase in intensity to denote how close the Chilled character is to being Frozen.
  • The default button bindings for Mount actions have been adjusted to be more intuitive on the controller.
  • The icons for the Helltide Chest of Mysteries and Living Steel Chest have been updated to make them more visually distinctive from the other chest icons.
  • The button for confirming Gold amount in the trade interface on controller has been changed to Yor Triangle on console. This will allow pressing A or X on console to bring up the virtual keyboard to manually enter Gold amounts when trading.
  • We have introduced a new way for players to approach reworking their Skill Tree.
    • Players can now refund whole paths or Skill clumps whilst seeing a preview of it all.
    • Players can also see how many Skill points will be refunded to them and how much Gold it will cost in advance.
