Warzone expert Metaphor is claiming that the devs have “overbuffed” one of the game’s Assault Rifles, making it a meta choice thanks to its low recoil.

With so many options to choose from in Warzone’s final season ahead of the MW3 integration, it can be difficult to stick with one, especially when updates bring changes to the meta with buffs and nerfs.

The Assault Rifle category is arguably the most popular in the game, and while some are enjoying the Kastov 762 and ISO Hemlock, Warzone expert Metaphor believes the “zero recoil meta is back,” as the Lachmann 556 is now “insane” after being buffed.

The Lachmann 556 is a weapon that hasn’t seen much of the limelight, but it’s always been praised for its low recoil, which makes up for its low damage as you can hit more of your shots with the weapon.

Metaphor believes the weapon is “insane now” thanks to being “overbuffed,” as the October 23 patch increased its head damage multiplayer.

For those looking to take advantage of the buffed Lachmann 556, luckily, Metaphor shared his best loadout for the weapon.

Metaphor’s best Warzone 2 Lachmann 556 loadout

  • Barrel: 15.9″ Lachmann RAPP Barrel
  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Magazine: 60 Round Mag
  • Optic: Aim OP-V4

Kicking off Metaphor‘s Warzone Lachmann 556 loadout, the 15.9″ Lachmann RAPP Barrel will improve the weapon’s recoil control, bullet velocity, damage range, and hip fire accuracy.

To give the Lachmann 556 that laser beam feel, the Sakin Tread-40 muzzle gives the AR both vertical and horizontal recoil control, allowing you to stay on target and hit more shots, even from long range.

The FTAC Ripper 56 and Aim OP-V4 both help with stability and staying on target, while the 60 Round Mag will allow you to get the job done without the need to reload.

Despite the weapon’s fairly “low damage,” Metaphor claims the weapon’s “low recoil” allows you to “hit more shots,” meaning you’re actually doing more damage. The Warzone expert even claimed that out of “all the ARs,” the Lachmann 556 is “the most consistent.”

Definitely make sure you give this weapon a spin if you’re looking for a new weapon to dominate with in Warzone. For more, check out how to get the Prime Gaming rewards for WZ2 and MW2.
