While a title for Call of Duty 2023 has yet to officially be announced, a leak has revealed the logo and key art for Modern Warfare 3. A leaked MWIII collaboration between Call of Duty and Monster Energy showcases Captain Price and the all-red logo.

Despite plenty of rumors suggesting that Call of Duty 2023 is expected to be Modern Warfare 3, Activision have kept their cards close to the chest by not revealing official information. Previously, reliable sources revealed that 2023’s title is poised to be a direct follow-up to Modern Warfare 2, called Modern Warfare 3.

While the franchise’s decision to recycle the names of previous games may cause confusion for gamers, it seems like that trend will indeed continue for COD 2023. On July 24, leaked images of a collaboration between Call of Duty’s Modern Warfare 3 and Monster Energy surfaced online.

The leaked images were shared on Twitter by algebra_sloth, and the content seems to strengthen the claims that Call of Duty 2023 will in fact be called Modern Warfare III.

It seems Modern Warfare 3 will shake up the formula by adopting a red color scheme, evidenced by the red III logo. Therefore, Modern Warfare 3 could be the first game from Call of Duty‘s Modern Warfare series to utilize a red color scheme.

In addition, the promotional images include a fierce shot of the iconic COD character Captain Price. As rumors reported, it seems Modern Warfare 3 could indeed be a direct sequel to Modern Warfare 2 (2022.)

Captain Price was always expected to feature in a Modern Warfare title, but perhaps fans will be more intrigued to discover that the leaked key art also hints at the possible return of Makarov, the legendary COD villain.

While it’s hard to make out the face of the figure looming behind Captain Price, speculation is running rampant that it could be Makarov.

The Call of Duty Twitter account didn’t directly comment on the leaked details, but they did confirm the legitimacy of the leaked logo in their own way with the above Tweet.
