Highly requested Rifle found in MW3 & Warzone Season 3 datamine
ActivisionFollowing the release of MW3 and Warzone’s Season 3 update, dataminers found some game files hinting at the long-awaited return of an iconic weapon.
MW3 and Warzone devs usually bring back fan-favorite features, weapons, and even modes to the games. After Warzone Caldera shutdown, players have been desperate for the moment of the iconic Kar98k’s return.
After the Season 3 update, dataminers found references to several weapons including the fan-favorite Kar98k Rifle and the SPAS-12 Shotgun hinting at a potential return for both weapons.
If these leaks turn out to be true, the devs could allow players to take out enemies from afar in Rebirth Island with the classic Kar98k.
Although many players expected the iconic weapon’s return to coincide with Rebirth Island‘s launch, it ended up being the MORS Sniper from Advanced Warfare that arrived with the third major update.
The Kar98k has been present in several CoD titles in the past, including MW 2019 categorized as a Marksman Rifle, and SHG’s Vanguard as a powerful Sniper Rifle.
If it ends up being added in MW3 and Warzone, as expected following the leaked game files from Season 3, it would be the sixteenth time that this classic weapon has been part of the Call of Duty franchise.
