Warzone 2 Season 5 introduced a variety of changes to battle royale’s arsenal, but luckily, expert IceManIsaac has shared what he believes is now the best option to replace the nerfed Cronen Squall.

The Warzone 2 Season 5 update didn’t just introduce new weapons to mix up the meta, but the patch also brought some game-changing buffs and nerfs to various of the game’s weapons.

The Cronen Squall has been a dominant choice throughout Season 4 when it came to medium to long-ranged engagements, but the Battle Rifle received some heavy nerfs in the Season 5 update that seems to have pushed it off the top spot.

Warzone 2 expert IceManIsaac believes he may have found the new meta to replace the nerfed Cronen Squall, as he claims “all the pros” have switched to the TAQ-V.

The TAQ-V Battle Rifle has been a competitive weapon for some time, but IceManIsaac truly feels that Season 5 is its time to really take the top spot of the meta. After analyzing the stats, the content creator claims that the TAQ-V is now “the go-to,” especially for the ranked grind.

Luckily, the Warzone expert also shared his best loadout for the TAQ-V, so check out the attachments below.

IceManIsaac’s meta Warzone 2 Season 5 TAQ-V loadout attachments

  • Barrel: 18″ Precision-6 Barrel
  • Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
  • Underbarrel: FTAC Ripper 56
  • Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity
  • Magazine: 50 Round Drum

IceManIsaac starts off the best Warzone 2 Season 5 TAQ-V loadout with the 18″ Precision-6 Barrel, which does a great job of improving the weapon’s damage range and bullet velocity.

To double up on improving bullet velocity, the 7.62 High Velocity ammunition is another great attachment that the expert recommends.

To counteract some of the heavy recoil you get with the TAQ-V, the Sakin Tread-40 muzzle provides both horizontal and vertical recoil control, allowing you to stay on target and hit more shots.

As for the underbarrel, you can’t go wrong with the FTAC Ripper 56, as this is a great choice for adding some stability and recoil stabilization to your weapon.

Lastly, IceManIsaac claims that the 50 Round Drum is “essential,” as it will allow you to take on multiple enemies and finish off fights without reloading.

Definitely make sure you give this weapon a try, as IceManIsaac even recommends pairing it with the ISO 45 SMG for the complete loadout that dominates all ranges.
