Warzone 2 players can add friends through their Activision ID.

Adding friends on Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 is as simple as heading to the Social tab, entering their Activision ID, and pressing ‘Send Request.’

To make it easier here’s a step-by-step guide to adding people in Warzone 2:

Launch Call of Duty: Warzone 2 / Modern Warfare 2.
Head to the Social tab by pressing the right analog stick or by clicking the icon in the top right corner.
Select Add Friends from the menu.
Enter their Activision ID which is their username followed by a few numbers (e.g Username#1234).
If you prefer, you can select Don’t Know Their Activision ID and enter their PSN or Xbox Gamertag.
Hit Send Request.
