CoD devs finally respond to major server issues in Warzone 2 & Modern Warfare 2
Ongoing server issues have plagued Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 for weeks, ruining matches for players. Thankfully, the devs have finally addressed server issues across both MW2 and Warzone 2 in Season 3.
The Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 update brought a ton of new content to the game, including two new weapons, new Operators, maps, and modes. The devs also delivered buffs and nerfs to balance weapons in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
Despite the new additions, players have been disappointed since the start of Season 3, claiming that gameplay issues are to blame for the lack of enthusiasm surrounding both titles.
One of the major issues that many seem to have a problem with is the consistent lag in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2. For weeks players have had to deal with server issues that have put a damper on their Call of Duty experience.
Luckily, the devs finally broke the silence by addressing the issue on Thursday, April 20.
CoD devs plan to fix server issues in Warzone 2 & MW2
Thankfully, the devs are working on a solution for server issues in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 after stating that they are “investigating reports of server-related gameplay issues and are actively working to resolve them.”
Since the Season 3 update, plenty of clips have been shared to the Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 subreddit featuring players experiencing baffling lag that often ruins a gunfight or critical moment.
Players were pleased to hear the devs finally acknowledge the issue, with one saying, “Call of Duty finally acknowledging that there’s a major problem with their game?”
While players will have their opinions concerning the delayed response, the fact that server issues are being addressed should lead to improved gameplay in both Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2.
One player in the replies called the server issues the biggest problem with Warzone 2: “Finally! Thank you for acknowledging this issue (probably the biggest for Warzone 2 in Season 3). You can have the best game in the world, if the servers are not playable, everyone will be frustrated and leave.”
