Buffed Warzone 2 rifle outguns meta Hemlock with “lethal” TTK

Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded went to great lengths to shake up the weapon meta, and CoD expert WhosImmortal has revealed the buffed Assault Rifle that’s become a real contender thanks to its “lethal” TTK.

Each major update comes with plenty of changes to the meta, and Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded was no exception. The mid-season patch threw two new Handguns into the mix, along with plenty of buffs and nerfs to the existing lineup of weapons.

The Assault Rifle category, in particular, was hit with some major changes, as the ISO Hemlock was hit with its second nerf in a row, while the likes of the M13B were buffed into meta contention.

Warzone 2 expert WhosImmortal has revealed the big winner of the update, claiming that a formerly “slept-on” Assault Rifle is now one of the best the game has to offer.

In his May 18 video, WhosImmortal explained that the Lachmann-556 is absolutely “lethal” following a significant buff in Warzone 2 Season 3 Reloaded. The YouTuber compared it to other meta rifles in the game, and found that the 556 kills faster than the Hemlock and doesn’t suffer from the same mid-range drop-off that others do when it comes to TTK.

“It ends up being the third best TTK over range, but especially in the mid-range there, it’s kind of in a world of its own,” said WhosImmortal, before adding that his build has “non-existent” recoil to ensure players are always achieving the best time-to-kill.

WhosImmortal began his best Lachmann-556 loadout with the Echoless-80, buffing the Assault Rifle’s bullet velocity and damage range. He paired this with the 15.9″ Lachmann Rapp Barrel for similar improvements, as well as extra recoil control to keep the weapon on target.

Next, he went for the FTAC Ripper to keep the Lachmann-556 stable during sustained fire, making it an “absolute laserbeam” at all ranges. He also added the Aim OP-V4 for a clean optic that’s ideal for picking off enemies at a distance.

Finally, he picked the 40 Round Mags for increased ammo capacity but mentioned that you could switch to 60 Round Mags if you don’t mind the slower movement and ADS speeds.

With this setup, WhosImmortal believes that the Lachmann-556 is now a “top-tier AR” in Warzone 2, and has what it takes to rival the meta options in the game.
