Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 introduced a new Battle Pass, and it has not had a positive response from players, with some describing it as “goofy” and calling for changes.

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 is here, and players are eagerly jumping into the Call of Duty title to check out all of the fun content in the seasonal update, such as the new 6v6 map and BlackCell Battle Pass.

The update also brought changes to the appearance of the Season 3 Battle Pass layout. This change didn’t go unnoticed by the community, and players are not happy with the implementation of the new design.

Reddit user ‘X2006_SubZero’ highlighted the Battle Pass layout change in the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit, and they described the new design as “goofy.” They were referring to the fact that the sector map seems to have been flattened in the update.

The in-game UI for Modern Warfare 2 has been criticized since the Call of Duty title first launched, with some labeling it as “the worst UI” in history. This new change hasn’t done much to win over players.

Many other players in the thread agreed with the Redditor’s sentiment as they were not impressed with the Battle Pass layout change. One user commented: “Never could have imagined they could have made the UI worse than it is, but here we are.”

Another user stated that the layout looks like it’s “designed to scale for mobile.” The design was also met with comparisons to a “mid-2000s character selection menu” that you would find in a PlayStation 2 game.

One player claiming to be a designer also criticized several aspects of the layout: “It looks like it’s implemented incorrectly. Lots of the lock icons are in the wrong sections. Some images look distorted.”

This wasn’t the only thread dedicated to this topic, as Redditor ‘tnucffokcuf’ complained about the new Battle Pass design in the Warzone 2 subreddit, describing it as the “ugliest change” to the UI.

The commenters in this thread were also frustrated with the change, with one user stating that the new design looks “horrible.” Another commenter added: “The whole resolution and scale are way off.”

It remains to be seen if the Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 developers will respond to the criticism of the Season 3 Battle Pass design change.
