Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 and Warzone 2 Season 3 will introduce a new Battle Pass bundle called BlackCell, which offers players exclusive content at a higher price, but player reactions suggest that the community thinks it’s a “scam.”

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3 arrived on April 12 with a heap of new content and changes from movement updates, the return of one-shot Snipers in BR, and new weapons to a brand-new Battle Pass and Operators.

The new Season 3 Battle Pass brings some new features, as players will now be able to automatically set a path rather than pick Sectors individually. As well as this, there’s also the new Battle Pass offering called BlackCell.

This is essentially the new version of the Battle Pass Bundle, as it offers much of the same plus some exclusive content such as skins. The community has been reacting to this BlackCell Battle Pass offering, and many don’t seem to think it’s worth the hefty price.

A Reddit post in the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit asked players their thoughts on the “regular vs $30 BlackCell bundle skins,” which led to comments like “wow, the blackcell outfits look really bad,” and “the exclusive operator is cool but not $30 cool.”

A lot of players in the community don’t seem to think the exclusive BlackCell skins are worth the $30 price tag, with many actually feeling as if the “regular skins look waaaaay better,” and that the BlackCell skins are “tacky.”

Some users are even comparing these $30 BlackCell skins to previous free-to-earn skins from the Call of Duty franchise.

In comparison, players feel that the devs have taken a “big step back,” clearly feeling as if the paid BlackCell skins should be much more impressive. One comment plainly stated, “not interested for $30.”

We’ll have to wait and see how popular the BlackCell Bundle is, but the majority of comments on these Reddit posts don’t seem too fond of spending $30 for the exclusive skins that stand as the main attraction.
