Modern Warfare 3 is rumored to be the next Call of Duty title set to arrive in 2023. When it comes to MW3, little is known, but leaks have now revealed images of iconic maps that could be set to feature in the new game.

As Modern Warfare 2‘s cycle carries on with Season 4 throughout the summer of 2023, CoD fans already have the next title on their minds. Earlier, it was revealed that CoD 2023 is set to be called Modern Warfare 3.

Leaks have also suggested that Modern Warfare 3 could arrive on November 10, 2023. While an official release date is far from confirmed, Tom Henderson also revealed that Modern Warfare 3 would be developed by Sledgehammer Games and most importantly it could feature “a series of remastered maps from past games.”

On June 19, new images have leaked to add credibility to Henderson’s statement that Modern Warfare 3 could feature remastered maps. A Twitter account by the name of CoD_Perseus shared supposed screenshots of classic remastered maps in Modern Warfare 3, including Scrapyard and Terminal.

Given that Modern Warfare 3 was rumored to originally be a “premium DLC” to Modern Warfare 2, it makes sense that fans of the franchise could be set to revisit popular maps from the past.

Terminal is beloved by many Call of Duty fans as one of the most popular maps in Modern Warfare 2 (2009). While many expected that more classic maps from the original Modern Warfare 2 would appear in Modern Warfare 2 (2022), it seems they may be getting them in Modern Warfare 3 instead.

Keep in mind that these are just leaked images at the moment, and until official information is confirmed, Modern Warfare 3 will remain shrouded in mystery.

Scrapyard was the other fan-favorite map that the leaked images revealed. Scrapyard most recently appeared in Modern Warfare (2019). Given its recent appearance, perhaps players will be surprised to see it turn up again so soon. Nonetheless, it remains a popular map that will likely please the community.

There’s currently no way of knowing if the leaked images are real, but if more images surface, we’ll keep you up to date with everything you can expect in Modern Warfare 3.
