How to change your party in Baldur’s Gate 3
As you play Baldur’s Gate 3, you may find that some of your companions are more suited for certain situations than others and may want to switch your party accordingly. Here’s how you can change your party in Baldur’s Gate 3.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is finally out for PC players, welcoming them to its Dungeon and Dragons-inspired adventures after being in early access for almost 3 years. The RPG lets you join your friends in a party for a great multiplayer experience, but you can also play solo with the help of AI characters.
To help you with that, here are the exact steps to change your party in Baldur’s Gate 3.
How to change or swap your party member in Baldur’s Gate 3
You can change your party by going to camp and swapping the current member with a new one. Here are all the details about how to do it:
To swap your party members in the game and bring in teammates from the camp, follow the steps below:
- Go to camp either by fast travel or by choosing the option to ‘take a long rest’ from the mini-map menu.
- When you get to camp, speak to any active party member and ask them to stay at camp. This will make room for a new member in your party.
- Speak to the person you want to join your party and you’ll have the option to invite them to join you on your quest.
- After this is done your party will be updated.
The game allows you to have 4 active party members at once. So when you encounter a potential companion on your journey and you already have a full party, you can send them to your camp where they’ll stay until you need them.
