Is Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox?

Baldur’s Gate 3’s popularity on PC and PlayStation has helped it ascend to the top of the video game charts this year. However, if you own an Xbox and are wondering when you’ll be able to play BG3, here’s what the developers had to say.

Thanks to its success on PC, PlayStation, and Mac, Baldur’s Gate 3 has emerged as one of the most beloved games of 2023 and has managed to win the awards for Best Community Support, Best Performance, Best Multiplayer Game, Best Role Playing Game, Player’s Voice Award and the coveted Game of The Year Award in The Game Awards.

As for the long-awaited Baldur’s Gate 3 Xbox version, Larian Studios CEO, Swen Vincke, confirmed shortly after accepting the GOTY award that he was meant to finally announce what would be the future for Xbox players, but he’d forgotten to do so in his acceptance speech.

So, without further ado, here’s everything about the Xbox release of Baldur’s Gate 3.

Is Baldur’s Gate 3 on Xbox?

Yes, Baldur’s Gate 3 is available on Xbox Series X|S. Its approximate size is 137,55 GB and it includes the much-acclaimed Patch 5.

Larian Studios RPG was shadow-dropped on Microsoft’s consoles during The Game Awards, and it’s also available on PC, Mac, and PlayStation 5.

An important point to highlight is that Baldur’s Gate 3 supports cross-platform progression from PC to PlayStation. It’s still not confirmed if this feature is available on Xbox, altough the official Xbox store only describes Xbox Local co-op, Online Co-op, and Shared/Split screen options.

Keep in mind that BG3 is available on the current-gen PlayStation 5 and not the PlayStation 4, so the developers have brought it to the Xbox Series X|S. There’s no official confirmation that the game is going to be on Xbox One, although it doesn’t seem likely.
