It isn’t difficult to get the Tower-shaped key in Baldur’s Gate 3, but since it doesn’t come with instructions, it’s hard to know where to use it. Here’s everything you need to know about the Tower-shaped key in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 2 holds plenty of secrets, and players can easily unlock one of them after getting the Tower-shaped key at the Last Light Inn. However, it can be tricky to find out where to use it, since it doesn’t come with any direction.

Here’s where to use the Tower-shaped key in Baldur’s Gate 3.

Where to use the Tower-shaped key in Baldur’s Gate 3?

After getting it in the Last Light Inn in Baldur’s Gate 3 Act 2, you should head south towards Reithwin Town at (X:83, Y:-49). Keep in mind that you’ll need to have Isobel’s blessing or a Moon Lantern to explore the Shadow-Cursed Lands.

Then, head north to the Mason’s Guild and look for its basement at X: 129, Y: -692. Explore the area and make sure to pass a passive Perception check at X:124, Y:-688, which allows you to spot a Keyholed Herald. After interacting with it, you’ll automatically use the Tower-shaped key to open the passage.

Inside, you’ll find a trapped chest and several enemies you’ll need to defeat to freely search the room. If you focus on the left side of the room, you can find a few notes that reveal that the Mason’s Guild was a base of the Selunite Resistance against Ketheric Thorm, and it will give you the location of a valuable stash at the base of Moonrise Towers.

How to get the Tower-shaped key in Baldur’s Gate 3

If you choose to free the tieflings in Act 1 of Baldur’s Gate 3, you’ll get to meet them once again at the Last Light Inn of Act 2. Make sure to talk to everyone there to get all the information you can gather about the Shadow-Cursed Lands, but focus on talking to Mattis.

After talking to him, you can either convince him to give you the Tower-shaped key, buy it for 1,000 gold, or steal it. The easiest way of getting it is to pass a Persuasion or Intimidation check and convince the tiefling kid to give it to you.
