Respawn investigate Apex Legends Gibraltar glitch

Respawn Entertainment have confirmed that they’re investigating a strange new Apex Legends bug that’s causing Gibraltar to be extremely vulnerable to explosive damage during a match.

There is a huge collection of diverse characters with unique abilities in Apex Legends. Gibraltar has been a part of the roster since the beginning, and has become a staple character. However, he’s been experiencing some bizarre bugs recently.

One recent glitch is causing Valkyrie to not be able to lift the Legend with her ultimate ability. Now, Respawn are investigating one that makes Gibraltar unusually vulnerable against explosive damage of any kind.

Gibraltar is weaker to explosives due to a bug

Gibraltar’s abilities make him extremely deadly in Apex Legends, as he can drop gas canisters that can be tripped by his unfortunate opponents. He’s also got great defensive capabilities, but the glitch is making him seem much weaker.

Apex streamer Jamison ‘PVPX’ Moore noticed that any form of explosive damage is now almost lethal to the Legend. Gibraltar was hit by an Arc Star during a June 2 stream, and this dealt a total of 185 damage to him.

This huge damage boost is seemingly happening with every explosive aimed at the Legend. While the cause isn’t clear, the Apex Legends Trello board shows that they are already investigating it.

Even Gibraltar’s very own Ultimate has changed, causing explosive ordinance to dish out 100 damage with each blow. So if you’re a main for this character then you better be careful about explosives until the devs have fixed the issue.

While it’s still being looked at, we don’t know for sure how long it will take to fix this bug. Respawn often listen to fan complaints, so we might it see patched up soon enough.

We’ll keep checking for more updates regarding this new bug, and will let you know if there are any new developments.
