Valorant is among the most popular games, especially in the FPS genre, and its player count has maintained its pace, keeping the game in the list of the most popular titles ever since its release back in 2020.

Each time Riot announce a new Agent or map, the hype within the community grows, causing the monthly player count to skyrocket. So if you are interested in how their 9.00 update performed in terms of player count, here’s everything you need to know.

Valorant player count this month

Valorant had 25,115,178 players between June and July, according to ActivePlayer.io. The platform also shows that over 6.78 million players launched Valorant every day in the last 30 days. This makes July one of the most successful months in its history.

Keep in mind that these stats are from a third-party website and are just an estimate, so take these numbers with a pinch of salt. Do note that these numbers reflect the stats of all platforms Valorant is available in as well.

Although its console beta test is still going on after starting on June 14, the player count stats have likely not included those players as the monthly average results have been in a similar region as the previous months.

Peak player count

Valorant averaged 25,479,059 players in August 2023, making it the best month for the title. These monthly stats coincided with the release of the Sunset map on August 29, 2023. January 2024 was also a good month for Valorant as it averaged 25,438,207 players during this period.

Valorant’s current player count is almost a million more than the previous count, so it’s quite evident that the recent 9.00 update with Episode 9 Act 1 that arrived on June 25 and 26 respectively, surely helped in attracting a bunch of both old and new players into the game.
