A Pokemon TCG fan sold a “pretty expensive” old card and decided to use that money on a new batch of boosters. The Target run was meant to cheer the user up after selling a 1st edition Charizard, which luckily ended up in some great pulls.

Pokemon TCG expansions always come with some rare cards that collectors snatch and re-sell for crazy prices. Old cards are sometimes more expensive than new ones, the meta always changes and the prices vary from usable competitive cards to rare finds.

A Reddit user shared their story on the Pokemon Go subreddit, saying a proper goodbye to an old card that he sold to buy some new packs. The Target trip ended up with some rare pulls from the Obsidian Flames and Paradox Rift Expansions.

While chatting with the community, some users suggested that the Charizard sale and his lucky streak are similar to an “infinite money glitch.” Selling the new cards would net him more than he dished out for the packs, hence the glitch that the community joked about.

Along with the many cards that the booster packs come with for user rjsinks13, six Full Art pulls can be considered quite the impressive haul. Including a Tera Charizard EX Full Art from Obsidian Flames, and even Roaring Moon EX from the latest English release of the Pokemon Trading Card Game.

The lucky streak after the big sale made some other users jealous, with some stating that they “hate themselves” after opening over 100 packs, worth $500, of the Obsidian Flames expansion to find zero Charizard EX cards inside.

With a new expansion already out for the Pokemon Trading Card Game, the trainer’s luck will now result in powerful Paradox Pokemon and some of Paldea’s finest creatures. For more Pokemon, check out the best Pokemon to use in Pokemon Unite or the Pokemon Go November 2023 raid schedule.
