Pokemon TCG Live release date

Pokemon TCG Live is finally out of beta as of June 8, 2023. Fans can dive into the full-fledged version of Pokemon TCG Live right now.

The game’s launch coincides perfectly with the new Pokemon TCG: Scarlet & Violet—Paldea Evolved expansion, which will arrive on June 9.

What is Pokemon TCG Live?

Pokemon Trading Card Game Live or PTCGL is a video game version of the popular Pokemon Trading Card Game. Pokemon TCG Live took over from Pokemon TCG Online as an updated version of the digital game.

The free-to-play PC and mobile game allows players to use the physical cards they’ve collected to battle other players online.

The two-player game has its own set of rules and sees players utilize a deck of Pokemon, Trainer, and Energy cards to knock out their opponent’s Pokemon.

Pokemon TCG Live introduces an overhaul of the game’s online interface and UI as well as a trading system to make sharing cards easier for players.

As previously mentioned, PTCGL incorporates physical Pokemon Trading Card Game products. Some of these cards will come with codes that players can input and wield in TCG Live.

How to download Pokemon TCG Live

When it comes to downloading and playing Pokemon TCG Live, players have four options, including MacOS, Windows, Android, and iOS. Evidently, Pokemon TCG Live players can play the game on a PC or a mobile device.

To play Pokemon TCG Live on a mobile device, players can visit the App Store for iOS, or the Google Play Store for Android.

Meanwhile, to download Pokemon TCG Live on Mac or Windows, visit the official Pokemon TCH Live webpage, scroll down to the download options and select Windows or Mac.

How to transfer PTCGO account to Pokemon TCG Live

Pokemon TCG Live is taking over from Pokemon TCG Online as the previous title shut down on June 5, 2023.

Luckily, your data, including a wide assortment of cards, can be transferred over from PTCGO to PTCGL. Both games use the Pokemon Trainer Club account service to log-in. Therefore, all players need to do for their data to transfer is log-in using their credentials.

“When logging in to Pokemon TCG Live for the first time, any Pokémon TCG Online collection data associated with that Pokemon Trainer Club account will be automatically transferred to Pokémon TCG Live.”
