Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players shocked by troll trading operation: “You’re a monster”

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players are always looking for new ways to share with the community and keep the Pokemon world bright with stories about cooperation, success, and even failure. But some players enjoy “playing tricks” on other players.
In the spirit of the past Halloween, a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet player showcased a troll plot so evil that could be among the worst of the worst some players have seen these days.
This was uploaded by Reddit user ‘creeper_king68,’ who shared their plans for troll trading with the community. Shortly after, the responses indicated that most of the community thinks that they are either evil incarnate or, at least, there’s really something wrong with them.
Reddit user ‘creeper_king68’ explained in detail their evil plan: “Messing around decided to get a bunch of haunters and trade them using surprise trade so anyone who got one of mine thought of the NPC Mindy.”
The original trickster was an NPC trading a Haunter in another Pokemon game
The NPC Mindy refers to a certain Trading NPC from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. This little rascal traded her Haunter for a Medicham. Players who encountered this NPC thought they would have a great chance to get Gengar without the need to connect with another player to trade.
Game FreakThey soon found out that this was a scam, and the Haunter (named Gaspar) that Mindy offered was holding an Everstone, an item that prevented its evolution. This is one of the few times that Game Freak have trolled their audience and it has become a legend among the fans of the beloved franchise.
So it is no surprise that other trainers saw this post and asked creeper_king68: “What is wrong with you!?” Others took it a notch up by declaring: “You’re a monster.” Another player said: “Didn’t know the devil walks on earth and plays Pokemon.”
But other players found this idea hilarious, and enthusiastically suggested: “Name them all Gaspar.” Another trainer asked: Please, tell me that your in-game name is Mindy.
