Pokemon Scarlet & Violet players reveal simple tricks to unlock free Herba Mystica in DLC
The Pokemon CompanyHerba Mystica is one of the most sought-after items in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and so, fans were thrilled when a few players unveiled some tricks to get a bunch of these items for free in the Teal Mask DLC.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced several new items to the gameplay but Sandwiches and Herba Mystica still remain the most popular among the community, even as the Teal Mask DLC brought more items to the mix.
Adding Herba Mystica to Sandwiches boosts the shiny rate of Pokemon in the wild and so, players spend hours grinding the Paldea region and Kitakami Island to farm enough of these items and go shiny hunting.
Many fans find this a tiring experience but they can now breathe a sigh of relief as players have pointed out some quick ways to get free Herba Mystica in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
Reddit user ‘Nourdoking’ shared a post that showed the player’s interaction with a trainer in the DLC and wrote: “For the people that didn’t know, there is an NPC in the Teal Mask that will give 10 free Herba Mystica if you finish his quest.”
“He is in front of the gate to the Kitakami hall, you need to give him all 19 tablecloths to get the reward,” the OP added.
While getting the tablecloths for the task isn’t a difficult task, some users mentioned that they found the ‘Olive roll’ minigame a bit annoying. But a player offered the solution by writing, “You can cheese this by using Koraidon/Miraidon to push it over walls and into the basket.”
Users commented “gotta get this” and “saving this for later” as they seemed to be unaware of this task that can fetch them loads of Herba Mystica. And it appears that there’s more than meets the eye as one player revealed a code to get them early in the game:
“There is currently a code you can use in the game that will give you 1 sweet or spicy Herba Mystica at random. The code is SWEET0RSP1CY.”
With shiny hunting becoming bigger than ever in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, grabbing these free Herba Mystica is certainly a great idea, especially when shinies are now spawning in the weirdest of places.
