Paradox Pokemon have been a huge hit in Scarlet and Violet, bringing different versions of fan favorites for players to explore. Players have singled out Magikarp as the Pokemon most deserving of an upcoming Paradox form.

The dust has settled following the arrival of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC. Players continue to explore all of the fierce battles it has to offer and catch some of the new Pokemon introduced with the expansion.

The Indigo Disk DLC brought several new Paradox forms, including Gouging Fire, Raging Bolt, Iron Boulder, and Iron Crown, but players are always looking for more. The new feature has been a hit, and players have offered up their prime candidates for which Pokemon should be next in line.

Interestingly enough, a Reddit post claims that Magikarp would be the perfect fit to receive a Paradox form in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The post alludes to one of Magikarp’s Pokedex entries that describes its ancient form as “less pathetic,” and “strong.”

Players quickly agreed in the comments that due to Magikarp’s lore and history in the Pokemon universe, it would be the ideal candidate to receive a powerful ancient form in Scarlet.

Check out the Pokedex entry from Red and Blue that backs up the OP’s claims: “In the distant past, it was somewhat stronger than the horribly weak descendants that exist today.”

One player suggested that the devs might be waiting to capitalize on Magikarp’s history: “They might be holding back for a Legends form of it like in Hisui.”

While players admitted to “Love this idea!” some saw the humor in the idea of receiving a Paradox form for Magikarp, who is known as one of the weakest Pokemon in existence: “I want future Karp – call it iron flail and make it the single most terrifying glass cannon physical sweeper.”
