Pokemon Scarlet and Violet The Indigo Disk DLC is coming on December 14, and fans are starting to speculate on returning characters. The Blueberry Academy is located in Unova, the Generation 5 region and one Reddit user wants Cheren back from Black and White.

Now that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players know when they’ll be able to dive into Part 2 of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, fan theories are on the rise. The Indigo Disk DLC requires players to finish the main storyline and will send trainers back to the familiar Unova Region.

The Unova region is Pokemon Black & White’s setting, and many trainers made fond memories there. Nostalgic Reddit user DannyTreehouse shared his wish to see a familiar face in the Scarlet and Violet DLC on the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet subreddit.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Reddit community theorized Cheren being back in the Pokemon mainline games. “I mean, he has to show up,” said the users when talking about the possibility of seeing the popular character back in the Pokemon DLC.

Stating that “not only would be cool to see a familiar face,” user DannyTreehouse thinks it’s a great end-point for the character. According to Unova’s lore, Cheren is in pursuit of true strength, and this quest “could end” at the Blueberry Academy.

The Pokemon community wishes to see Bianca, another rival character in Black and White, return as well. “Bianca should be a professor and gift us one of the Unova starters if that’s the case,” said user OrpheusBalor.

What do you think about this theory? Will Cheren and Bianca be back? While you wait for the Indigo Disk DLC, check out details about the new Tera Type and how to change Tera Types in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
