A new online PvP event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is on the go, and trainers can already register for the competition. Here’s all you need to know about the Kitakami Prologue Battle League in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is launching a PvP event titled Kitakami Prologue Battle League, and Pokemon trainers all over the world can already log in to join the competition. The event will be focused on duo battles and will feature the new Regulations E rules.

Here’s all you need to know to participate in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Kitakami Prologue Battle League PvP event, including the start date, rules, and prizes.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Kitakami Prologue Battle League start date

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Kitakami Prologue Battle League will run from October 6 to October 8, 2023. Trainers who want to participate in this PvP event can already register through the Battle Stadium menu.

Sign-ups will be open from October 2 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST until the tournament ends on October 8 at 4:59 PM PT/7:59 PM ET /0:59 AM BST.

To register, enter your Pokemon Scarlet and Violet game, then follow the next instructions:

  1. Enter the Poke Portal menu.
  2. Go to Battle Stadium.
  3. Enter Online Competitions.
  4. Scroll until you find the registry menu in the Official Competitions column.

Keep in mind that you will need to register and lock a team of Pokemon at the time of the registration, and that you can only participate using Pokemon available in the Kitakami Pokedex.

The Kitakami Battle League event will be focused on Duo Battles.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Kitakami Prologue Battle League rules

As mentioned before, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Kitakami Prologue Battle League will feature Pokemon present in the Kitakami Dex, and trainers will only be able to register Pokemon available in said list of species.

Additionally, registered trainers will start competing on October 6 at 5 PM PT /8 PM ET /1 AM BST, and will need to follow these guidelines:

  • Trainers will be able to participate in a total of 45 battles: 15 on each of the days of the competition.
  • Trainers will be able to enter any battle until the closure of the event on October 8 at 4:59 PM PT/ 7:59 PM ET / 0:59 AM BST.
  • Trainers will be participating in Duo Battles with their locked teams.
  • Trainers will be following the Regulations E ruleset for banned Pokemon, and that includes the list of banned Legendaries, except the ones from The Teal Mask DLC.

Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Kitakami Prologue Battle League prizes

Any player that finishes at least one battle during the Kitakami Prologue Battle League PvP event will receive 10,000 League Points (LP).

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Kitakami Prologue Battle League is an official Online Competition but is not a part of any 2024 official circuit. This means that it does not reward any Championship Points (CPs).

The event is intended to be a testing ground for the new Regulations E ruleset and to provide a fun and safe environment for players to test their best teams with the new Pokedex species included.
