Catching shiny Legendaries from Pokemon Go Raids is one of the most grueling grinds, but a few players have shared a jaw-dropping piece of info that many were unaware of.

Legendaries are the strongest additions to Pokemon Go and their shiny versions are some of the most sought-after Pokemon for both new and veteran trainers.

But catching shiny Legendaries is quite a task as you need to beat several 5-Star Raids with the best counters, and then hope to find a shiny. That’s not all as a large section of trainers, who are used to seeing Legendaries flee despite their best efforts, fear the same for the coveted shinies.

But, it turns out that there’s nothing to panic about, in the replies to a Reddit post by a user named ‘Jackyboyad’ who encountered a shiny Mesprit and was glad to have still caught it even though they made a “horrible throw.”

The post prompted some fellow players to share a crucial but relatively unknown feature that would delight many fans of the mobile game.

“Raid shinies are a guaranteed catch, regardless of how good the throw was or not,” a user wrote while another pointed out that they can be immediately caught on the first throw itself.

If this wasn’t amazing already, a trainer emphasized: “Not just from 5-star raids but in raids in general.”

Many players said that they didn’t know about this Pokemon Go Raid feature and thanked the users for revealing it. Funnily enough, they also realized that getting a shiny 100 IV Legendary is easier than a non-shiny variant. “So would it mean that it is easier to catch a SHUNDO than a HUNDO.”

Some fans reminded others that while the Lake Guardians are some of the few Legendaries that can even spawn in the wild and can be shiny, only the Raid shiny encounters are guaranteed catches.

When the Lake Guardians are out of Raids, you can still hunt for them in the wild, but keep a lookout for some rare Pokemon Go grabs such as Frigibax and Jangmo-o.
