Pokemon Go players celebrate “beating the game” after perfect shundo catch
NianticA Pokemon Go player managed to get one of the rarest shinies in the whole game, and the community went crazy when he showcased his catch. The community is saying they have “beaten the game.”
Some Pokemon trainers are meant to be champions, others like to be collectors, and others are destined to be extremely lucky. One Pokemon Go player has managed to get such a rare shiny Pokemon that the community is telling them they should “start playing something else now.”
This happened to Reddit user Xtralargerock when they shared their most recent acquisition: a perfect shiny Mew. This Pokemon was guaranteed to appear when completing a Paid Timed Research that was available during the previous season.
Xtralargerock commented: “I’ve played on and off since day 1 and never gotten a Shundo anything, but just finished my Shiny Mew research. What would you do with this guy?” A Reddit user answered their question: “Id retire.”
Other users celebrated their achievement by saying things like: “You beat the game. Time to play something else now.” And: “You won. Thanks for playing.”
Another user added: “Once you get the 100% Mewto and Shadow Mewto your account will be terminated for breaking the in-game luck-calculating servers. You were warned.”
Meanwhile, some Pokemon Go players are not so happy with Xtralargerock’s perfect Mew, as one of them said: “How’s it feel to be god’s favorite.”
And it does look like Xtralargerock had an unusual lucky catch, but considering they never got a shundo before, it may be the game finally recognizing all those years of endless grinding.
