Becoming Lucky Friends helps Pokemon Go players trade their favorite species to get better stats and a lower cost for powering up. But, a major issue with this popular feature has everyone asking for a revamp.

One of the best ways to progress in Pokemon Go is to add in-game Friends who you can exchange Gifts with, earn plenty of XP to level up, and trade to get stronger versions of your favorite Pokemon.

Becoming Lucky Friends is the ultimate goal as you are assured to grab a Lucky Pokemon that requires fewer resources to max out. But, this incredibly popular feature comes with a major problem that has left many trainers frustrated for years.

After Reddit user ‘ders89’ posted that they have several Lucky Friends from all around the world but they are unable to meet in person, making the feature “flawed,” many trainers highlighted how this has been a bother to them as well.

If you become Lucky Friends with someone from a different part of the world, the game offers no means to trade with them. A user suggested, “If they won’t add global trading for normal use they should at least do global trading when lucky friends.”

Another chimed in: “Once you make lucky friends you should be able to trade from any distance. They were supposed to have a chat feature too, which would be great for trading but no.”

Others called the current system “pointless and frustrating.” They added that without a chat feature, it would be impossible for the trainers to coordinate even in a global Pokemon Go community event.

Fans called for “remote trading events” that would help them trade with their Lucky Friends from any corner of the world for a limited time.

Ironically, players would need to complete 50 Lucky trades to reach level 50 in the game, so an upgrade to the current Lucky Freinds feature would certainly help many.
