How to breed Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
For you to be able to breed in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, you just need to set up a Picnic using the game’s menu, and you will be able to get the process up and running almost immediately.
You will need to make sure that you have either a Male and Female Pokemon in the same applicable Egg Group as this is how it will create a Pokemon Egg. Another way is to have a Pokemon that is eligible for breeding, along with a Ditto, and either scenario will enable you to breed Pokemon.
Just kill some time once the setup has begun, and eventually, you can check the basket on the table, and it will inform you that an Egg has been created.

Just like in previous Pokemon games, it’s all about stepping, running, and generally covering ground to make the Egg hatch. After a while, you’ll get a prompt telling you that it’s time for the Egg to hatch and give you a new Pokemon.
