The Adventures Abound season of Pokemon Go is finally here, and players have the chance to catch Paldean Pokemon for the first time in the mobile game. Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly debuted with the A Paldean Adventure event, and a new Special Research rewards trainers with lots of useful items.

A Paldean Adventure Special Research tasks & rewards in Pokemon Go
Pokemon Go players who log into the game from Tuesday, September 5, 2023, to Friday, December 1, 2023, at 9:59 AM (local time) can get the A Paldean Adventure Special Research in the game. This Research is branched, meaning you’ll have to pick one of three paths after completing the first step. You can learn more about that in our complete guide.

Step 1 of 5
- Catch 9 Pokemon – 20 Poke Balls
Completion rewards: 900 Stardust and 900 XP

If you pick Sprigatito in the Pokemon Go A Paldean Adventure Special Research, you’ll need to complete the following tasks to claim all rewards:
Step 2 of 5
- Catch 3 Pokemon – 3 Poke Balls
- Take a snapshot of a wild Pokemon – 300 Stardust
Completion rewards: Sprigatito encounter and 900 XP
Step 3 of 5
- Spin 50 PokeStops or Gyms – 20 Razz Berries
- Catch 200 Pokemon – 15 Pinap Berries
- Send 60 Gifts to friends – 25 Poke Balls
- Evolve a Sprigatito – 1000 XP
- Earn a heart with your buddy on 7 different days – 3000 Stardust
Completion rewards: Pokemon encounter and 900 XP
Step 4 of 5
- Explore 30 km – Mysterious Component x5
- Catch 400 Pokemon – Great Ball x25
- Earn 40 Candies walking with your buddy – Golden Razz Berry x9
- Evolve Floragato – 2000 XP
- Visit a Pokestop on 14 different days – Stardust x6000
