Pokemon players might have a difficult time battling Goodra since it’s an unpredictable opponent, so here’s everything you need to know about its weaknesses and resistances to beat it with ease.

Pseudo-legendary Pokemon bring an interesting challenge to any Pokemon game. Introduced in Gen 6, Goodra is one of those tough opponents many players have trouble facing. However, much like any other tough Pokemon in the franchise, Goodra has weaknesses that trainers can exploit for a swift victory.

In this article, we’ll cover everything there is to know about Goodra’s weaknesses and resistances in Pokemon.

What Pokemon type is Goodra?

Goodra is a pure Dragon-type Pokemon in mainline games. Like other iconic Dragon types, it can take a lot of damage thanks to its high Sp. Defense Stat.

Pokemon Legends: Arceus introduced fans to the Hisuian version of Goodra, which is a dual Dragon and Steel-type Pokemon.

Goodra is Goomy’s final evolution.

All Goodra weaknesses in Pokemon

As a pure Dragon-type Pokemon, Goodra is weak against Fairy, Ice, and Dragon-type attacks.

On the other hand, Hisuian Goodra is weak against Fighting and Ground-type moves. Of course, you only have to worry about Hisuian Goodra in Pokemon Legends: Arceus for now.

All Goodra resistances in Pokemon

Being a pure Dragon-type Pokemon, Goodra can resist Grass, Fire, Water, and Electric-type attacks. When fighting this pseudo-legendary, it’s best to stay away from these categories.

Hisuian Goodra is a dual Dragon and Steel-type Pokemon, which means it can resist Normal, Flying, Rock, Bug, Steel, Water, Grass, Electric, and Psychic-type moves. On top of that, it’s completely immune to Poison-type attacks.

Both versions of Goodra can have an interesting ability called Sap Sipper. This ability makes Goodra completely immune to Grass-type attacks and it raises its Attack if it’s hit by that type of move.

Goodra’s moveset can have all sorts of different attacks. In mainline games, it can learn Poison, Normal, Grass, Water, Dragon, and Ghost-type moves, so keep that in mind when picking counters.
