A few of Overwatch 2’s star names are set to undergo some changes shortly with the devs outlining five Heroes that will be on the receiving end of buffs and nerfs.

We are now fully underway with the Overwatch 2 Season 2 update and along with a new Hero in Ramattra, made easier to unlock thanks to Battle Pass changes, the devs have also confirmed that the Ranked System will be revised too.

But things aren’t stopping there with the game though as the devs have already informed the game’s player base to expect some adjustments to characters. Buffs and nerfs regularly take place to balance characters and get them in a spot where they feel fair and competitive.

So it’s interesting to see that Blizzard wants to shake things up by delivering five mini-makeovers to some of Overwatch 2’s most used Heroes.

As he does quite regularly, Overwatch 2 Game Director Aaron Keller has been communicating with Overwatch 2 fans to inform them of some forthcoming changes to the roster.

“The team is looking at potential changes to Sojourn, Doomfist, Ramattra, Roadhog, and Tracer with the planned balance changes coming later this week,” he confirmed in a December 13, 2022 tweet.

In recent weeks, players have been disgruntled by the OP nature of Doomfist who’s likely to have some of his recent buffs quickly undone, whereas Ramattra is likely to be buffed after players felt like the new character was underpowered in the game.

We’ll have to wait and see exactly what Blizzard are cooking up, but once we do, we’ll be sure to give you a deep dive into the full extent of the buffs and nerfs.
