Overwatch 2 Season 2 brings the Year of the Rabbit event to celebrate Lunar New Year. Here’s everything you need to know about Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit, from the start date to the skins up for grabs.

Overwatch 2 hasn’t been out for all that long, but developer Blizzard is clearly trying to cram in as many seasonal events as possible. Junkenstein’s Revenge brought Halloween to the hero shooter, and the Winter Wonderland Christmas celebration brought the holiday festivities to Season 2.

Now that Christmas is out of the way, and a new year has begun, the devs have released the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) – Year of the Rabbit event in Overwatch 2.

We’ve got all the details on Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit, including when the event will begin and the content to expect.

Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit start date

The Overwatch 2 Season 2 Year of the Rabbit event has officially begun as of January 17, 2023. The event will run until February 6, 2023, giving players just under three weeks to see everything on offer.

The Overwatch 2 Year of the Rabbit event will bring the Legendary Kkachi Echo skin which players can earn by completing four of the event challenges. Players can also earn free rewards by logging in and also Twitch drops, which include a Legendary Moira skin.

There are also other rewards such as a Spray, Weapon Charms, Name Card, and Souvenir all up for grabs in the Event page of the Challenges tab.

Similarly to last year’s Lunar New Year celebration, in the Overwatch 2 Season 2 Year of the Rabbit event, players can jump into the Lunar Brawls Arcade playlist for three game modes – Bounty Hunter, Capture the Flag, and Capture the Flag Blitz.
