Modern Warfare 2 players claim must-have Perk desperately needs buff in Season 2
Perks are a vital aspect of Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, and fans of the game believe that one is underperforming and should be buffed to improve its performance and effectiveness.
Modern Warfare 2 Season 2, along with Warzone 2 Season 2, is set to reinvigorate both games with a slew of exciting new features and content to get the CoD community buzzing.
While Warzone 2 is getting the new Ashika Island map, Modern Warfare 2 players are anticipating the usual array of new maps, guns, game modes, and the return of a properly focused Hardcore mode.
There is a lot to shout about with regard to Modern Warfare 2 in the coming weeks, but one aspect of MW2 gameplay that players wish was improved is the game’s Perks – with one in particular garnering the most attention.
Reddit user Vdubnub88 posed the question to the Modern Warfare 2 subreddit: ” Anyone else think this Perk needs to be buffed?”
Along with the user’s question was a picture of the Battle Hardened Perk – a subject of controversy in the past.
Battle Hardened essentially acts as a shield that allows a player to withstand and become quite resistant to the effects of certain enemy equipment i:e Flash Grenades, Stun Grenades, and even Snapshot Grenades.
However, Flash Grenades have proven to be quite an OP tool in Modern Warfare 2, and the majority of the replies did agree that Battle Hardened should be buffed, but mainly to counteract Flash grenades.
“Should decrease flash bang by 75%,” said one player, whereas another user commented: “It’s the Flash Grenade’s default 5-second flash effect that’s too strong. Battle Hardened reduces it to 2.5 seconds, which is a huge reduction, and yet still too long!”
Other players feel like everyone is missing the point and went back to the age-old argument of Flash Grenades needing to be nerfed.
“It’s [a] good perk, but the problem isn’t about buffing the perk, it’s the flashbang they need to be nerfed” suggested a MW2 player.
It’s clear that the Flash Grenade argument is not going away anytime soon, and it might end up being that either Flash Grenades do get the nerf everyone is craving, or Battle Hardened is buffed to become stronger in combat situations.
