Modern Warfare 2 players are furious as the devs respond to an accidental Tactical Sprint nerf in the Season 2 Reloaded update.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Reloaded has finally landed, bringing an abundance of content from a new multiplayer map and weapon to a variety of balance changes and quality-of-life updates.

Unfortunately, despite the exciting content, players quickly noticed a nerf not mentioned in the patch notes, which prevents players from activating their Tactical Sprint for over a minute after using it.

Modern Warfare 2 content creator Futives noticed the change very quickly, going straight to Twitter to let the community know, “THEY NERFED TAC SPRINT AND DOUBLE TIME THIS CANT BE REAL LMFAOOO.”

The player then posted a video showing the nerf in action, as they explain that it “now takes over a minute to get your tac sprint after using it for 3 seconds.” This led to the player feeling as if the devs “hate” the community, and others in the comments feel similarly.

That said, Infinity Ward were quick to respond, letting players know that it is actually a bug, and that they are “working on a small update to correct irregular animation and behavior to Tactical Sprint”

The change was “unintentional,” and it seems that they are now working to get Tactical Sprint returning “to normal once the update goes live.”

It’s unclear when this update will be released, but hopefully, it’s soon. For more on Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2, check out the 2023 player count and all of the DMZ changes.
