Is Hogwarts Legacy coming to Steam Deck?

Fans of Hogwarts Legacy are wondering if the groundbreaking new game will be coming to Steam Deck.

Hogwarts Legacy is expected to fully immerse Harry Potter fans into the wizarding world they’ve come to know and love on February 10. The Hogwarts Legacy launch is still a few weeks away, but the highly anticipated game has already rocketed up the Steam bestseller charts through pre-orders alone.

Players who pre-order Hogwarts Legacy are in store for some extra treats and bonus rewards. Some players are still wondering which platform to pre-order the game on, with many asking the question if Hogwarts Legacy will be available on Steam Deck.

Is Hogwarts Legacy confirmed for Steam Deck?

As of now, Hogwarts Legacy has not been confirmed for Steam Deck. The game will be available for purchase on Steam, but Steam Deck compatibility has yet to be revealed.

Official Steam Deck compatibility is still up in the air, but even if Hogwarts Legacy is not Verified for Steam Deck, there still might be a way to play it. The method could be similar to playing Modern Warfare 2 on Steam Deck, so we’ll keep you up to date.

We know Hogwarts Legacy will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on February 10, 2023, the PS4 and Xbox One on April 4, 2023, and the Nintendo Switch on July 25, 2023.

Given the fact that the game will be available to play on the handheld Switch, Steam Deck owners are hopeful that the game will arrive for the platform as well.

Not only would Hogwarts Legacy suit a handheld device, but fans have pointed out that the Steam Deck can surely handle the version of the game that was made for the previous generation PS4 and Xbox One.

Despite the powerful hardware at its disposal, we’ll likely have to wait for the launch of the game to find out more about Steam Deck compatibility. With some luck and a little magic, players could be enjoying a Steam Deck version of Hogwarts Legacy as early as February 2023.
