New glitch allows players to get free race wins in GTA Online

There is a glitch in Grand Theft Auto Online that players can exploit to win races instantly. This is easy to perform and gives you all the rewards of coming in first place without putting in the effort of winning.

GTA Online puts you in the shoes of a violent criminal, and from there, you can do anything. It’s up to you if you want to rob convenience stores, perform heists, participate in races and events, or cause general mayhem. Regardless of what you choose to do, you’ll want some money.

The more cash you have, the greater the benefits you gain, such as new vehicles, weapons, outfits, and even your own personal Yacht. Earning cash isn’t the most difficult thing to do in Los Santos, but races give you higher rewards than most other activities.

The only major problem with this is that your opposition will try to throw you off course in order to win. Luckily, some players have found an exploit that you can use to win races easily.

How to instantly win races in GTA Online

Reddit user u/Reiss_Draws posted about this exploit in the GTA Glitches subreddit. You start up the race normally and find one random person to compete against. If you find yourself losing the race, then disconnect yourself from the internet right before the end of the race and immediately reconnect.

This then activates a glitch that kicks your opponents out of the race. You can do this by unplugging the network cable for 3 to 4 seconds before plugging it back in, or by turning your WiFi off then on. The reddit user simply disconnected his VPN and then waited ten seconds to reconnect.

This is obviously a very irritating bug to be on the other side of. Imagine working hard to get past your opponents and then staying ahead of them with victory within your reach, only for it all to be taken away in an instant.

This kind of glitch can be easily over-exploited, so it’s something that Rockstar should be looking into. However, the bug has been in the game for a while now, and they haven’t announced any plans to get rid of it.
