Does Valheim support crossplay on PC & Xbox?

Yes, Valheim does support cross-platform play on PC and Xbox. This means you can team up with players across platforms without any issues. Players also don’t need to change anything since the feature is already turned on by default.

However, there are some things to keep in mind if you want to use crossplay in Valheim:

All players must have the same game version. You can see the version number on the main menu screen in the bottom right corner.
If you’re hosting a dedicated server on Steam, you need to use the -crossplay parameter to let players from other platforms join. You can also see the shuffle icon next to a server name to check if it has crossplay enabled.
If you’re playing on Xbox, you need to ensure that cross-network play is enabled in your console settings. You can find it under Settings > Online safety & family > Privacy & online safety > Xbox privacy > View details & customize > Communication & multiplayer.

Does Valheim support cross-progression?

Unfortunately, Valheim does not support cross-progression yet. This means players cannot switch from Steam to Xbox or vice versa and resume their progress.
