Stellar Blade may be the sleeper hit of 2024 with extremely tight combat mechanics and some pretty wild-looking enemy designs. If you’re all in on the game, you’re likely thinking about New Game Plus already, and we answer if Stellar Blade has the feature.

The Stellar Blade demo is in full flow, with a sneak peek as to what you can expect from the full game. We already have details on how long it will take to beat, but any more info you can gain ahead of release could be crucial.

Now, let’s get into if Stellar Blade has NG+ so you’ll know if you’ll be getting bang for your buck.

Does Stellar Blade have NG+?

Stellar Blade does have a New Game Plus mode so you can enjoy even more hacking and slashing action after you complete your first playthrough.

Even though the game hasn’t officially released yet, the developers have been doing interviews ahead of time. These have given us some juicy details, and the prospect of NG+ is one of them.

In an interview with Inven, a Korean gaming website, game director Hyung-Tae Kim stated that “New Game+, which allows you to play by inheriting your current experience, will be quickly updated [as an option]”. This is fantastic for those who are loving the Stellar Blade experience and want to hit the ground running with all their upgrades and weapons right off the bat.

In addition to New Game Plus, once you complete a full run-through of Stellar Blade, you will also unlock Hard Mode which you can combine with NG+ for a completely different experience from what you had the first time around.

What’s more, Kim said that Stellar Blade is “a game that gets more fun the more you play it,” with “a reward when you complete the first playthrough”. What this could also mean is that there are even more unlockables if you partake in a New Game Plus run, with potentially some secret suits for Eve to don.
