Developed with Unreal Engine 5, the devs are getting ready to introduce a huge world filled with secrets, fast-paced mechanics, and visually astounding creatures that are lurking underneath the sand-filled environment.

Dune: Awakening gameplay

Dune: Awakening promises to combine the creativity of a sandbox survival game with persistent multiplayer game features found in any Open World MMO.

Players will need to create their own identity and level up their characters while choosing factions that will give them specialized abilities. Starting on Arrakis, they’ll need to explore the vast universe of Dune, forming alliances and trying to defeat classic enemies as seen in both the movies and the books.

However, fighting enemies or exploring the map isn’t the only thing to do in Dune: Awakening. Characters will need to seek water, craft precious items, and develop their shelters into fortresses to survive the cruel environment of Arrakis.

Players will have to choose which factions they want to fight for in Arrakis.

If enemies come knocking on the player’s settlements, they’ll be able to engage in third-person combat, and use every weapon and their disposal, as well as plan strategies between infantry, ground, and flying vehicles.
