Persona 3 Reload has a ton of new activities to do in Tokyo besides Social Links, and many are new to the 2024 remake. Managing time is key in the Persona series, so here’s all you need to know about the new Linked Episodes and how to unlock the new party interactions.

Persona 3 Reload is the remake of the cult classic PS2 RPG, and with a few small changes, the game manages to bring a lot of new content to the timeless adventure. The Tartarus is back, and to strengthen your battle powers, you will need to be socially active in the streets of Tokyo.

The original Persona 3 didn’t have as many interactions between its protagonist group as Persona 4 or 5 did, so Atlus introduced a new mechanic called Linked Episodes to fix that in the remake. So, here’s when and how to unlock the new party interaction mechanic in Persona 3 Reload.

What are Linked Episodes in Persona 3 Reload?

Like Social Links but without an Arcana to Rank up, Linked Episodes in Persona 3 Reload are new social interactions between the Main Character and its SEES companions.

As the original Persona 3 didn’t have Social Links to develop with the male characters, Reload brings these new episodes to develop their feelings further. Major main story plots are discussed during these events, and many new lines of dialogue can be found while interacting with Junpei, Akihiko, and Shinjiro.

Linked Episodes will be marked with two exclamation marks when available.

They are not limited to the male protagonists tho, so players can also engage in these with Mitsuru, Fuuka, Yukari, and Aigis.

Persona 3 Reload: How to unlock Linked Episodes & rewards

Linked Episodes in Persona 3 Reload can be unlocked after each significant main story development. SEES members will contact the MC during the day or night to hang out and further develop their relationships.

By engaging in these Linked Episodes, players will gain access to new Theurgy and Personality traits for each character, making their ultimate attacks more powerful in battle.

Engaging in all the new extra activities with other protagonists unlocks new battle options.

These extra episodes also offer Social Stat points as rewards, with each character developing a new Social Stat depending on which activity they did in the Linked Episode. This is not fixed, meaning that each episode with Junpei will net more than just Charm points.

Are Linked Episodes missable in Persona 3 Reload?

Yes, Linked Episodes are missable, and should be completed as soon as they become available. Each episode has a set time in which it must be completed, as each subsequent episode depends on completing the previous one to be unlocked.

If you miss your chance with any SEES member, all future Linked Episodes for that character will become unavailable. Something similar happens with rescuing the Social Link NPCs from Tartarus when they wander off, so players must be careful and read each of the game’s warnings.
