Does Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater have a release date?
Konami haven’t revealed a release date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The latest trailer was part of the Xbox Showcase at Summer Game Fest 2024 but didn’t reveal a release window for the title.
While fans expect it to arrive sometime in 2025, it’s just speculation for now. As more information about its release date is revealed, we’ll be sure to update this piece so stay tuned.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater platforms
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
This is great news for those on Xbox and PC, as the 2004 original Metal Gear Solid 3 was a PlayStation 2 exclusive that was later released on Xbox 360 years later.
It doesn’t look like MGS Delta: Snake Eater will be available on PS4 or Xbox One, but if any news is released regarding a previous-gen release, we’ll update this section.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater story & gameplay details
Metal Gear Solid Delta will feature the “same gripping story and engrossing world” as the original, but now with “cutting-edge graphics and 3D audio.”
Fans can expect a faithful remake, with the same stealth-orientated gameplay that sees players uncovering the “origin story of Snake.” That said, the devs are working on “evolving the gameplay with stunning visuals and a seamless user experience.”
In that sense, the devs mentioned that “in addition to the original play style and control scheme, players can elect for a newly added, more modern control style.”
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater trailers
The faithful remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 was revealed on May 24, 2023, during the PlayStation Showcase. It was revealed with an announcement trailer, which didn’t show gameplay but instead, a cinematic that ended with a look at the Big Boss, also known as Snake.
On June 9, 2024, Konami revealed the first official trailer for MGS Delta: Snake Eater during the Xbox Showcase:
