Is EA Sports WRC available on PS4 & Xbox One?

EA Sports WRC is already available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but what about last-gen consoles? Here are all the details about the EA Sports WRC port on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. 

EA Sports WRC has 78 cars, 17 official FIA World Rally Championship locations spanning over 600km and 200 stages, all the popular rally modes, and just as extensive post-launch support. It is developed by the veteran developers behind the Colin McRae games and the Dirt Rally series and is their biggest rally game yet.

While all of that content is neat, it has left last-gen players nervous about whether the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles can handle the scale.

Can you play EA Sports WRC on PS4 & Xbox One?

No, EA Sports WRC is not available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it is exclusive to current-gen consoles and PCs.

Part of the reason for the racer not being available on last-gen consoles is the scale of the stages available in the game. In an interview with Traxion.GG, Senior Creative Director, Ross Gowing said:

“… in large part down to that scale and that we want top quality environments to always be in the players’ hands. We wanted to make sure it was high quality and represent every location properly, [we] stuck to current generation hardware.”

That also puts down any hopes of the game being ported to last-gen consoles post-launch.
