There are many games to look forward to, but arguably one of the most exciting titles coming in 2023 is the sequel to Alan Wake.

Alan Wake 2 is set to continue the nightmarish story of the bestselling crime fiction author who’s unfortunately trapped in the Dark Place. Ever since the original, players have been eager to see where the story will lead, and finally, the developers at Remedy have revealed the sequel.

Those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription may have familiarised themselves with the Alan Wake story, as the original was actually on the subscription service in 2020. This has left many wondering whether Alan Wake 2 will be on Xbox Game Pass, so here’s everything you need to know.

Is Alan Wake 2 coming to Xbox Game Pass?

As far as we know, there are no plans for Alan Wake 2 to arrive on the Xbox Game Pass on the October 17, 2023 launch.

That said, there’s a chance that Alan Wake 2 could be added to the subscription-based service somewhere down the line, but this has not been confirmed. Remedy’s previous title Control was also seen on the Xbox Game Pass, so the developer’s titles do have a history of being on the service.

However, the Alan Wake Remaster and Alan Wake 2’s publisher is Epic Games, which is different from Control and the original Alan Wake. Since Epic Games is a Microsoft competitor, it’s less likely that we will see any of the new Alan Wake titles on the Xbox Game Pass.

Alan Wake 2 will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC come October 17, 2023, with no signs of the title coming to PS4 or Xbox One.
