Spider-Man 2 features a thrill ride of a story campaign with Peter Parker and Miles Morales teaming up to repel villains such as Venom, Lizard, Kraven, and more. The PS5 exclusive also packs in new suits, a bigger open world, and web wings among other things.
Just like 2018’s Spider-Man, players can unlock gadgets throughout the campaign for both Spider-Men. Acquiring these will require players to gather XP and collect tokens spread out across the map. The first game allowed players to carry over all this progression into a new playthrough via New Game Plus, leading fans to wonder if Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature the mode as well.

Yes, Spider-Man 2 will feature a New Game Plus mode that will be added via an update released on March 7. The future update is also expected to add mission replayability and a set of new suits.
We expect New Game Plus to be largely similar to the first game and allow players to carry over their Gadget upgrades, skills, suits, and tokens into a new playthrough. Spider-Man 2018 also featured secret Trophies that were unlocked upon beating New Game Plus so there’s a chance Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have them as well.
