Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is here, and its first update brought Midas back to the battle royale. The fan-favorite character made his return with a new event that features a Floor is Lava LTM, special quests, and a brand-new skin for the character.

Fortnite players can find Golden Chickens on grassy areas of the island, in locations such as Reckless Railways, Restored Reels, Fencing Fields, Pleasant Piazza, and Snooty Steppes. You can also try your luck in this season’s new POIs, Mount Olympus and The Underworld.
Golden Chickens have a distinctive golden glow in Fortnite so you can see them from a distance. They lay Golden Eggs while walking, so if you encounter a Golden Chicken, check around that area and you’ll find Eggs as well.
Fortnite Golden Chickens & Eggs explained
Interacting with Golden Eggs in Fortnite gives players 350 Gold Bars, but you can also eliminate Golden Chickens to get 12 additional Gold Bars.
You can use any weapon or your Pickaxe to hit Golden Chickens to get Gold Bars so you can spend them on Vending Machines, buying items from NPCs, and more. However, we recommend letting Gold Chickens roam around, as they lay Golden Eggs pretty quickly
