Yes, you can get the Ascendant Midas skin for free in Fortnite by achieving the highest score in the Rise of Midas Solos Cup.

This tournament will be held on March 24, at different times for different regions. As mentioned in the official blog post, you will have three hours to play ten matches and score as many points as you can.

At the end of the tournament, the players with the highest score in each region will receive the Ascendant Midas skin and the Golden King’s Cape Back Bling for free in Fortnite.

You can get the Ascendant Midas skin for free by scoring the highest in the tournament.

The winners will also receive the Golden Touch Pickaxe and the Golden Ascension Wrap, but they’ll receive these two cosmetics after the Fortnite 29.10 update has gone live.

Fortnite Rise of Midas Cup eligibility

To participate in the Fortnite Rise of Midas cup, you need to match the eligibility criteria that Epic Games has laid down for the tournament. You can find the entire Terms of Service here.

That said, here are some of the important pointers that you need to take into account if you want to know whether you’re eligible to participate in the tournament or not:

Age – You must be at least 13 years old depending on your country of residence.
Epic TOS and Fortnite EULA – You must not violate Epic Games’ TOS (Terms of Service) and the Fortnite EULA (End User License Agreement).
Two-Factor Authentication – You need to have 2FA enabled on your Epic Games account.
Epic Affiliation – You cannot be associated with Epic Games in any capacity.
Player Names – Your in-game name must follow Epic’s Code of Conduct.
Epic Account – Your Epic Games account should not have any previous records of violation and needs to be level 50 at least.
Additional –
- You may not play from any country prohibited in the Terms of the tournament.
- You may not use an iPhone or any other iOS device to play.
- You can only participate from one region and enter using a single Epic Games account from only one device.
- You should have reached platinum rank by the time a session starts.

Will the Ascendant Midas skin come to the Fortnite Item Shop?
