Nike X Fortnite collaboration: UEFN-designed map, skins, challenges, more

Nike has an exciting new collaboration with Fortnite and has released its very own UEFN-designed map, skins, challenges, and much more. Here is everything we know about the Nike X Fortnite collaboration. 

Nike and Fortnite have been long-time collaborators, coming out with exciting new updates over the years. Whether it’s Nike’s collab with Giannis Antetokounmpo or Travis Scott’s Air Jordan in the third-person shooter game, both companies have always managed to impress, and it seems like they’re all set to do it one more time. 

The air is buzzing with a brand-new collab between Nike and Fortnite that just dropped with the recently released v25.10 update for Chapter 4 season 3 of the game. Under its new partnership, the popular apparel brand is bringing more than a floating island to the table with unique skins, challenges, and much more on the way. Here’s everything you can expect from the Nike x Fortnite collab.

Nike X Fortnite release date

The Nike x Fortnite collab was rolled out following the v25.10 update on Tuesday, June 20, for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3. The game was taken offline at the aforementioned time for the update with matchmaking disabled and was made available again at 7AM ET / 4 AM PT / 12 PM BST.

The update features a brand-new UEFN-designed map called Airphoria. Up in the clouds, the city features the best of sneakerhead culture, along with exciting new stomping grounds.

There is “Museum Max,” “Station 97,” and “Museum Wax.” Players will have to explore the city and hunt down missing Air Max Grails, while escaping the recently added drone-shaped villain, Maxxed Out Max. There are five Grails in total scattered across the cloud city. To make things even sweeter, anyone who plays on the map for more than 10 minutes can bag themselves the Air Max 1 ’86 Back Bling on June 28.

The island will be available until June 27, 2023, at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (June 28).

New Nike X Fortnite Airphoria outfits

Nike also added some new outfits to the Item Shop. Players can flex the new Airphoria pack that includes the Airie and Maxxed Out Max Outfits as well as the Maxx Stacks Back Blings and Pure Sole Boombox. For more style, head to the Item Shop which has been stocked with new add-ons. Your options are:

• That Ice Pickaxe: Cushion the blow.
• Maxx Drop Glider: Lace up in-Air.
• Maxx Axe Pickaxe: For the ultimate collector.
• Keep ‘Em Crispy Emote: Anything but cooked.

Players can purchase these items either individually or together as part of the Airphoria Gear Bundle. The Gear Bundle also features the Airphoria Loading Screen, Maxx Volume Spray, and AirWave Emoction.

Nike are also offering .SWOOSH users special perks. Anyone living in the United States can link their Nike and Epic Games accounts between June 20 at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST and June 27 at 5 PM PT / 8 PM ET / 1 AM BST (June 28) for the chance to claim an Achievement. Additionally, players will also have exclusive access to the soon-to-be-released .SWOOSH Air Max Virtual Collection. Read up on the specifics at the Epic Games blog site.
