The leaks state that the 19.10 update added lightsaber animations along with some melee combat mechanics, gameplay abilities, and VFX. This could mean that the weapon will make its return in the game.
Alternatively, they could be working on a new melee weapon and are basing it off the animation and abilities of the lightsaber. However, this information has yet to be verified by the developers themselves.
It’s worth keeping in mind that these are currently just leaks, so take them with a grain of salt until Epic Games officially announce something. We’ll keep checking for updates regarding this.
